The Esper
The Esper
The Esper is my flagship model. Available only as an acoustic archtop and measuring 16” at the lower bout, everything on this instrument is made in-house except for the tuning machines and the output jack. Wood choice can be custom spec’d although sapele or mahogany back and sides with a matching neck and a sitka spruce top are my personal favorites. The Esper offers bass response and sweetness in the trebels not often found on archtop guitars. The asymetrical body profile and upper sound port lend to the deeper bass voice, while the low top-arch offers slightly more of a flat-top tonality but keeps the classic note-separation that archtop guitars are sought out for. This guitar comes standard with all the crispies. Wood binding throughout with pressure dyed purfling, ebony appointments with a bone nut and saddle, aluminum bubble inlays on the neck with the mother of pearl bent-spoon inlay at the headstock. The pickup is a super low-impedance single coil for high-clarity and balance across the string set, and volume control can be found on the ebony fader tab at the side of the pickguard. The Esper comes standard at 25” scale length, though others can be spec’d depending on player preference and style.
